spare bolt

anyone know how to remove the bolt that holds the spare tire in?

that threaded shaft coming up out of the floor of the trunk? is it welded in? get a metal saw, and a file and have at it!

i can't remember what mine looks like, so i could be way off.

I assume you mean the really long bolt that the tire and jack are on?

I haven't tried to remove it.

Theres a metal clip that is between the head of the bolt and the sheet metal of the car. If you wiggle it free then snip the metal clip it will just pop out. The bolts that hold the stock sub in are the same sort of deal. Its one of those folded pieses of metal with the bolt going through the middle. I took it out to sound deaden then put fiberglass in the spare tire well for my sub box.
Its really easy to do you just need a set of tin snips.

Theres a little metal tab in the bottle. push the top of the bolt forward and pull the bottom out. Pops right out
