so this guy at my church is over in the phillipenes (sp?) with his fiance', and his srt-4 with stage 2, full exhaust, looked like upgraded intercooler and intake piping, and this crazy boost controller is at his parents house, well his dad let me take it for a spin today, man.... honestly, im regretting buying a cobalt after driving this this dude, i was like blah blah blah driving with the boost turned all the way up and i just went through the gears, i was like 1,2,3 and i look down, and after like 3 blocks im doing 80 like holy crap! this thing was sweet man, very smooth acceleration, very smooth cornering, and vere comfortable to drive, only problem is the seats arent meant for a broad bone structure like mine, so the seat was pretty snug, but man, it was SWEET, i want a turbo for my car now so it will be fast and go BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH TSSS BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH TSS BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH and so on until a cop stops me

 

they definately are fast cars.. my friend has a 2004 SRT-4 w/ ACR Pkg and Turbotoys. Still pulls on me but not that much anymore since i put my new mods on

 

I test drove one before I got the Cobalt and I stand by my decision. The SRT-4 carries a ton of straight line speed, but I really didn't like the handling. That and I couldn't get past the fact that it was a Neon. Even with the upgraded seats, it still felt like a Neon inside.

To each their own, that's why different cars are produced.

 

I personally love my stg 2 with toys. It kept me happy for over 2 years. I had alot of kills, and great times with the kit. But the quest for more horsepower, made me get the stg 3. If you loved stg 2, all I can say is, that stg 3 is down right dangerous!!! It should come with a warning label!!! It's stupid fast with stg 3!!!! lol.. i can imagine.. and i thought my friends stage2 w/ toys was sick fast i couldn't even imagine what stage 3 is like and some of the after market kits that are making 500-600hp out of an SRT-4.. THAT IS SICK!!

 

Ride in a tuned SS with a 2.8" pulley or less and it may change your mind.

I like the srt4 though. I thought it was a lot to fun to drive stock.

One against a GTO, and one called know your enemy, those are both in car videos of my stg 2 toys car. I think the links are busted by now, but it was good quality footage. Nobody even responed to the GTO video????? I killed my fair share of cars with the stg2 that probably never seen it coming!!! I love it when someone laughs at my car, then gets walked on by it!!! They never even seen the camera!!!!! Don't get caught slippin!!!

a STG 2 SRT 4 is bad ass. Simply put

 

wow.. that video was awesome. You had speedometer pinned.. .. We lack the tq the SRT-4's make that's what makes u guys move. If our SS's could only get that tq we would be set. Seems like our engines are built like a Honda. High rev, high hp, low tq.. i dunno.. anyone else think the same?

low tq? usually the hp and tq numbers are pretty close...our Engine has about 50-60trq on a Honda Civic SI.

 

Quick off-topic question. I was flying down the road the other day and I saw a black srt-4 who had his 30-day tags and what appeared to be stock. He bought his car like 10 days after I got mine at the same dealership. We were weaving in and out of traffic for awhile.. He was followin me then I let him go by and I followed him. I have had my douts about the car but WOW. We were stopped and he was ahead of me and that exhaust sounded bad ass for stockk.. Anyway.. heres the question. I have intake and exhaust. vs stock srt-4.. Would it be a drivers race?

look at some of the stock dyno's.. some are 215hp w/ 180 ftlbs. they are somewhat close but the SRT-4's tq is higher than hp. why do u think they are so quick
