SS kicks a$$ on track
Well Im not sure anyone posted this but in the last issue of Car and Driver the cobalt ss/sc absolutely destroyed the GTi and Si and even beat the Mustang GT on Virginia International Raceway, a very challenging 4.2 mile road course.
350Z Track- 3:12.5
Evolution MR- 3:13.5
RX-8- 3:19.0
Cobalt SS/SC- 3:20.6
Mustang GT- 3:20.9
GTI- 3:25.1
Civic Si- 3:26.5
Mazda MX-5- 3:29.3
I really would like to know now how the GTi and Si always win in performance comparisons vs the SS/SC, I guess the magz love their German/Japanese imports.

hmm those results look odd. there is no way that the 350 should be a full second ahead of the MR. MR's are sick on the road courses. i mean, the 350 can handle really really well, but not like the MR. if im not mistaken, MR's can outhandle a mercialago.

I'm not surprised that the 350Z track won. The new 350s are very respectable with 305hp and a solid 3.5L V6. They have a pretty good suspension package too and if you've ever driven one, they're very fun (great stock exhaust tone too). I'm surprised that the cobalt was that close to the RX8 though. I know they're slow but they handle very well (rx8s i mean).

EDIT: My bad, it is 1 second!
