SS S/C can you measure this?

I was wondering if somebody with an SS S/C can measure this space for me. If any of you saw my old
Mac Mini post , that is what this is about as well. I need someone to measure this space:

I was thinking this In-Dash touchscreen with VGA input will fit inside there.

It needs to be at least 7 inches wide by 2 inches tall to fit. I think it looks really close.

Thanks,
Vendian

Rats....if it's the same for the SS, which I assume it is, it wouldn't be tall enough to fit in the DVD screen. I suppose you could shave some off the top and the bottom of the other panels to reach 1/2 inch more. Hmm...

My SS/SC measures 7 7/8" x 1 5/8" exactly. You have to cut that piece out as well. It is part of the center molding.
