SS S/C Front Seats

For the SS/SC seats not the recaro one's, when you pull the lever on the back so people can go in the back, does the seat remember its position when you put it back? or do you have to readjust it?

Thanks

I would assume re-adjust it... all you are doing when letting people in the back is re-adjusting it. the you haev to re- re-adjust it

Usually the passenger side seat has memory. Its been like that for most GM cars already, so I'd expect the same.

Sorry to say...

...but there is no memory at all. Not for the back position nor the seat position. I just went and tried and I prefer the way my cavalier did it better. Good thing I don't sit in the passenger seat

so neither of them have a memory? oh well, if someone is going to sit in the back i'll make them go on the passenger side

I always make people get in on the passenger side on my 2-door. There is nothing more annoying than having to re-adjust your seat.

I tried again and I find that if you push the base back first it will go back to where it was but the back doesen't and if you push the back of the seat back first then the base will no longer go to it's previous setting.

I'm still interested in testing out the center-mounted guages.
I know with some cars the gauges are behind the wheel and
I have to "look around" to see them. Maybe this fixes that, I
need to go check one out sometime and see how good/bad it
really is for my tastes.

Although with a Cobalt SS Sedan coming out, I would have no
need to worry about checking into the Ion Redlines anyway.

If you drove an ION you would know. I can actually see the gages! No obstructions at all. Wonderful idea.

Garsnow, man, you stole my idea posting a picture with doors wide open. That's great.

I find the greatest fault with the center guages and they are farther from my eyes. They are small to start with and places them a foot further away and it's even harder to see them.

Of course you guys are going to like your gauges and im going to like mine. Honeslty, the center mounted gauges cannot be beat for daily driving. I dont have to look down...I dont have my steering wheel in the way....I dont have to worry about my hand in the way....BUT
I found when I want to watch my tach for redline, it is harder. The tach is WAY to small, and WAY to far away. That is my only flaw. Other than that i love them in the center.

At least GM was smart enough to consider this and added the shift lights.

I hate pulling my seats forward so people can get in the back. I just leave my rear seats down and tell people its a two seater.
