wow, this is a rediculous statement. maybe you've been lucky so far. but saying that it's not the tires is insane. is it possible to drive in the snow on stockers? sure. is it ANYTHING like driving with winter tires? if you think so, then i worry for you.

 

i didn't have a problem in the snow with my stock tires

It all depends on where you live. If you want to sled ride down a hill in a 2900 lb car, then stockers are fine in my neighborhood. But you're NEVER getting back to your house . **** I've seen people with chains on struggle to get around my neighborhood. Stock Pirellis just wouldn't do.

If you learn throttle control... this car isn't that bad in the snow! But it does make me miss my Eclipse GSX though!

 

my SS S/C is better in the snow than my LS

My parents' LS has shitty traction on snow with all seasons, I can only imagine how shitty the SS S/C is with SUMMER performance tires. They call them that for a reason by the way.

 

im not going to lie to you the 1 time i took my car out in the snow i couldnt make it out of the drive way and hoped in my dd.

 

37cm of the white **** in one day and I am cruising just fine. Dunlop M3's FTW. This car handles great in the snow and slides perfectly.

just get snows.... how can you complain when you are driving on summer tires, its your own fault it drives like ****. put on some snows and you will see how well it is.

lmao, these cars are terrible in snow! I decided to pull the SS out of storage since it was nice and dry today and take her for a quick spin. I could just barely(and when i say that i mean tires spinning, car not moving, until they found pavement) make it back up the driveway. I bet snowstorms are fun with the pirellis. Since i'm home from school and need the car for work I guess it's time to invest in some blizzaks. here's a pic of the driveway I could barely make it up (note that theres barely any snow and the cobalt still had a hard time)
