SS/SC without a sunroof, with limited slip....

I am using my girlfriends name to post this, she has a silver 06 SS Auto with a sunroof.

I have yet to see, or find a SS/SC without a sunroof. Does anyone on here not have one? how much extra headroom does it give you? The headroom would be the same in any cobalt coupe without a sunroof right? Her dad has a base cobalt coupe without for commuting, and we are visiting him tonight, I will def see what the difference is. Being 6'6" the cobalt is too small with a sunroof, so I think it makes the car feel smaller than it really is.

My question is, how hard will it be to find a used SS/SC without a sunroof and with the differential package?

TIA

GM cars, usually the roof goes above the car, rather than into the roof, the hardtop gives you some more room, but not as much as on some others.

Sorry no, most GM factory sunroofs retract INSIDE the roof/headliner.

I sat in my girls dads coupe without a sunroof, and there was noticably more headroom. I def think the SS/SC is back in the picture again. I almost bought one a year ago, but found a candy lease deal on my Audi, couldnt pass it up.

The cars I am looking at to replace it are the 2003 Acura 3.2CL Type S. 260hp, 6 speed, limited slip. SS/SC with no sunroof and G85. Those without lsd, which I am really bummed about, is the MKV GTI, it would have been a done deal if they offered it, but they dont, and the Honda Accord Coupe V6 6 speed.

Any opinions on the above cars? So it sounds like I could find one if I looked hard enough? without sunroof? hopefully, only way I could get one.

Yeah, but god do I love the Audi's. If the 2002-2005(B6) A4 3.0Quattro 6 speed is available for the same price, I will prob get one of those, if not, I have a few a few favorites, the balt being one.

In my area, if you dont want a sunroof and you want the LSD, you have to order it. The 6-8 week is worth it because you wont regret it later. I ordered mine with the smaller spoiler too.

Well ESP isnt a limited slip, its Electronic Stability Program. It counteracts skids using sensors and applies the brakes to correct the cars course. It doesnt give you any benifits the LSD gives you such as not smoking the inside tire while turning, which is cake on the GTI. My Audi has ESP and its great for sure, but not a replacement for LSD.

I like the GTI alot, we will see what happens.
