i just went from a 03 srt4 to the SS my drivability was total **** in that car...had to work on it pretty much every day...was stock except for hardpipe/bov/stage1 inj's and AEM SRI.
Loved the sound....loved the wicked fastness of it and eating mustangs all day...but hated the fact it was so unreliable...
mind you I got it used...
But i also got my ss used, bone stock...it's driveability so far is great..except for a p0171 which is going to get looked at this week...
might have fixed it by replacing the 2 lines off of whatever that round thing is by the ss...
"have not yet researched this car" they were both very bad and starting to crack...
so we will see...other wise...the ride of the car is also much better imo...and the seats are pure sex compared to the srt seats...but once again just my opinion..

Yea, I am going to test drive it tomorrow morning. I've been talking to my friend who now has an Evo, but had very slight mods to his SRT and was trapping 111mph. So assuming I can get away with it with the cash I have...I'm gonna get it.

03 srt4 quoted at 215 - really 225 - 235
04 - 05 = 235 really 235 - 240

don't me wrong..man i loved every minute of hauling ass in that car!

If the SRT's asking price is 12,995 and I walk in and say I'll pay 11,500 straight cash...is that a good idea or bad idea? I've heard different things, like they make all their money off financing, and cash they're going to give you the highest possible price. Any insight?

well never talk financing at first..
try to make them think u want to use their financing...and work on price get it to where u want it and say...oh well i think i will fund this myself...and take care of it...
other wise they will tell u to f-off cause they don't make any money off u that way...their money is in the kick backs they get from the interest.

also never talk montly payments if u do need to finance...talk price....if u switch over to payments later they will jack the price back up on ya...no ****!
oh and also if they said "if i can give it to you for this price will you sign this peice of paper saying you will buy the car" or ok if i can get you to this monthly payment will you right now say you will buy the car...sign this..
don't....it's a legally binding contract they will use as leverage...
tell them you won't sign **** till' you are ready to drive off with the car...it changes the whole expeirence..

yea that's what i did with my cobalt when i bought it. i'm just torn because i LOVE my SS/SC. like i just love the driving experience it gives, and i'm worried i won't get that kind handling from the SRT-4. I love the handling, sound system, and look of the SS/SC. I like mainly the power and potential of the SRT-4. Is handling and driving experience relatively parellel?

i personally didnt think so...
on the srt4 don't try to make any tight turns..it will not happen, they have a very large turning radious...over all It was uncomfortable on long trips or somewhat bumpy roads..and traffic was just about unbareable..atleast dallas traffic..
So far my ss sc is very comfortable no problems there..bumps arnt bad and traffic is ok.
I also found my srt4 to have a good amount of body roll around turns unlike my ss/sc

so i went to a place near my house that said they had a black SRT-4...i get there at like 2pm this afternoon, "sorry sir it's sold...today." WHAT THE ****. so i called another place that said they had an SRT-4 in NH, "sorry dude, just got put on hold about 30 minutes ago." so i'm gonna take it as an omen that God just doesn't want me to get rid of my SS/SC :-)
