My personal favorite was I was on a car cruise when I first got the car (4 weeks ago). I was stuck behind this E36 328 and stayed on their ass for the whole cruise. Well we were at a gas station and I went in came out with a soda and this girl started talking to me. She asked me who was driving the supercharged Cobalt. I looked at her and said I dont know some new guy on the cruise. Then asked her why. She said "that ****** is pretty fast stayed on our ass the whole time" me " what are you in?" her "that silver bmw" me "laughing did the cobalt have a front plate on it?" her "no think he just bought it" I was laughing fairly hard at this point and I told her sorry that the cobalt she was asking about was me and that its not supercharged and its an auto. There was another victory red SS/SC on the cruise but not sure where he went. But she wasnt too amused when she found out I was just a slow cobalt and not the fast one

 

I had this happen to me but in reverse.Im a LS obviously,Im at a red light and a white grand prix pulls up next to me with 2 girls.Both attractive.The passengar grabs my attention and asked if it was an SS.I replied no.She comes back with oh I got an SS at home.Then I was thinking how the **** do you not know my car is a LS when you own a SS

 

i went into a gas station in galveston yesterday and got this:

:guy behind counter: ok thanks*looks out to my car* hey is that a geo metra?

it made me smile and i all i said was "no its a Chevy cobalt"

i had some guy in the new camaro ss rev his engine at me from the left hand turn lane, then someone is in front of me, so lights turn green we take off like normal and he goes straight realizes theres a median and hes now in oncoming traffic and has to slam on brakes and jump the curb.

i pull over cuz i dont wanna see car messed up and he goes thats fast what is it. i was like an ION but hows ur car? lol(not really related but still)

 

i posted a wtb add on craigslist a guy emailed me and said good luck that the ss/sc are rare and the 06 and 07 ones are just leftover 05's that he has number 99 in production and that i wont ever find a supercharger lmao

yep im fully debagged and wingless. some nice charger with exhaust and maybe cai tried messing with me from a 60 roll a point i consider weak to run from atleast in my ss and still got him by liike 2 cars then he exited lol. i dont really race that much but he was all over my rear and asked for it

most ppl i have raced have no idea chevy made a cobalt ss.
so after i win they come up next to me and go
"wat the hell is that?"
"just a cobalt"
"son of a bitch"
then they drive off in shock, its kind of like i ruined their day ahahah

 

When I first got my car some woman asked me if it was the new Corvette and I was confused as hell haha.


A guy at a gas station asked me if it was a V8 or V6 and I told him it was a supercharged 4-banger and he looked at me confused as hell haha


Went WOT passed some traffic with the M62 whining loud as hell, they caught up with me at the next light and a guy asked me what was wrong with my car lol

 

I had one guy at the tire store ask (since my car is debadged) if my car was an SS. He was like SOOO interested to know. Then I say, "err, no" and he just walks away. lol!

Also, at the gas station, one friend in a lexus GS300 comes up to me and starts GRILLING me about my car mods. He was so intrigued, b.c. he saw my HIDs on the road. He then tries to poke fun at me since I don't have "bixenon" lights. Whatever. Anyway, he tells me that he has a buddy "building him" a short ram intake for 250$. I felt SOO bad for him...hehe..."you can just buy one off-line for like 100$ less than that" - i tell him. The look on his face after that = priceless.

BTW, I have a bunch of mods, but ever since I got my exhaust EVERYBODY wants a ride. I have a Tsudo catback with a deep churn to it...great decision!

 

everytime i go to the races there is always somone that goes hey you wanna run that ss and i say you mean that ls and they stay there puzzled

 

I can 1up everyone lol. When I was working at my local dealership one of the used car managers called me over so I could help sell a car. Mind you I was not into sales when I worked there. He was all "Rob you got an SS right?" "Ahh no, its an LS with some stuff on it." "Oh well go into the room next door and help one of the guys in selling the SS we have out there, just say you have an SS and you like it" lol

 

QFT I can't tell you how many times I have raced someone and I get "I almost had you and your S/Ced" so I open the hood and say "really where is it at cause I don't see one." The looks I get from that statement are priceless Now that the SS/TC's are out I get asked if its turbocharged because of the front grille.
