yeah and possibly void your warranty, its much cheaper in the long run to have the dealer install it, possible repairs in the future can be costly. the service papers will only indicate that the reflash was performed, many dealers are already voiding warranties left and right no sense in making it easier for them, Have the dealer do it, keep the service papers in your owners manual, have some peace of mind.....I paid $176.14 2hrs labor<--cheap

Swapping the pulley was the hardest part, as it took some good old fashioned muscle power.
I would recommend doing this your self, as it is incredibly satisfying, just have 1 or 2 friends there to lend a hand.
I'm going to have to agree here. I am by no means a master mechanic or anything, and found this install to be pretty easy.

zzp pulley puller rental tool + BREAKER BARS is all thats needed...
i had to use the breaker bars to complete this.. i about broke my damn arm ( i was lifting a 120lb) chick sitting on my blower 4-feet in the air from the torque i was making without a breaker bar and still not even budging the hub once it got on a good bit.. with the breaker bar.... a 8 year old could put it on then
^^^ Have fun with that belt.
That tried my patience a little bit, but as long as you dont lose your temper easily, you should be good to go.
And if you DO lose your temper, dont have any tools around.
This didnt happen to me, but I can easily see how it would be tempting to take out the frustration on something near by with your wrench.

i called up GM and asked them what dumb **** engineer would make a Tensioner pully that required a 15mm wrench to engage it.. i had alot of slippage.. ended up using Vice Grips (yea bitch slip from that) to pull it off...
i figured the trick with the 15mm when putting the belt back on.. but it was still kinda a pain in the butt
