Stage 2 questions
Stage 2 questions
hi all. Got some simple questions on the stage two kit for the sc cobalt.
1. Are these cars reliable with the stage two ? Anything break alot. Any issues ?
2. Is the stage two a bolt up no hassel kit ? I am going to be putting on a aem intake as well, with the re-flash will i need any more tuning ? Or am i pretty set ? I dont want to mess with custom tuning and all. Does the kit come with a good program ?

The stage 2 kit is very reliable. I have had no problems with it. I would suggest having the dealership put it on. If they do it, it will be under warranty and they will replace anything if there is a problem. They will also tune and reflash it so there are no problems. I see you are from independence mo. I am from st. joe mo. I went to cabledahmer and had them install mine. call up there and ask for chris pinney. They installed mine for $215.
Oh yeah, you don't have to worry about tuning anything with the intake system. Although some intakes cause check engine lights to come on. I have the k and N and have had no problems. If you need more help on this you can search other posts and there is a lot more info. out there about this.

Stage 2 is easy to install, but only if you have the right tools. You will need either a press or one of the supercharger pulley removal tools from one of our supporting vendors, to safely remove the stock pulley. I used a press to remove the pulley and a bolt with some nuts and washers to install the GM Hub. The rest can be easily done. Obviously you'll need a dealership to reprogram the PCM.
