You could probably swap it in, but none of the controls would work. Maybe the airbag wouldn't either.
You'd have controls for the DIC on the steering wheel and where it is on 05/06.

The connectors on the airbags are different. I have yet to find someone that has done the swap....and anyways why wouldn't you just go with a Sparco or Momo.

Different surfaces increase the overall interior appeal. So the metallicy trim on the 07 wheel makes it look good

Same wheel they used in the corvette, it's pretty decent. All the trim matches in my car .... Lol

I'd actually like to swap the corvette wheel to my Balt haha, full swap @_@

I'm researching this too. Converting 4 spoke to 3 spoke. One way around the DIC controls may be using a G6 steering wheel (or a cobalt wheel with the G6 cruise switch). The early 3 spoke G6 steering wheels dont have DIC buttons on them. Just a cruise-on button with set, resume and cancel. Also, with the audio control buttons, there isn't a call button. Instead its a preset "1-6" button. Something the 07+ cobalts lost in the new wheel design. I use these quite often on my 05 wheel.

Still trying to track down the pin-out for the clock spring in both vehicles. The connectors are the same but surely the pinout will need to be reconfigured. I've read the 07 balt uses the same airbag connector as the 05-06 and that it changed for 08-10. I've also read its flat out different. I looked up the clock spring for the cobalt. There is only one clock spring listed for all model year cobalts. When you order a new one, they come with the airbag wires attached. That leads me to believe all air bag connectors are the same shape from 05-10 even though the bags changed. I'll have to see if I can sort it out for sure next time I'm at the boneyard.

I'm not sure the Cobalt airbag will even snap into the G6 Wheel. Somewhere on here, someone said the malibu steering wheel has a different steering wheel frame. The bag mount is different (more shallow) even though the steering wheel looks the same as the cobalt wheel. It could be a similar story with the G6. Again, I'm not sure. Just brain storming.

I have a 2007 radio here and everything I need to fabricate a stereo wiring harness adapter. I'd like to install it but I dont want to unless I can successfully swap to the 3 spoke wheel. Otherwise, the steering wheel radio buttons from my 05 won't work properly.

Why is that? Is it a different shape? Are the splines different? What about just using the cruise switch to solve moving the DIC controls? If they would snap into the Cobalt bezel, the harness in the wheel may be able to be repinned, if necessary.

So, the G6 wheel is 1" larger in diameter. I did find the steering wheel harness pinout for the Cobalt and the G6. The pinouts are identical for the audio switches and the cruise switch with the only differences being being the G6 lacks the DIC wire and has an extra cruise cancel wire. The other relevant wires are in the same connector spots though. I'm going to try the G6 switches in a cobalt wheel and leave my DIC controls on my dash.

Yeah, I figured with the larger diameter wheel, the bag size would be off. I'm going to use a cobalt steering wheel and airbag with the G6 cruise/audio buttons. The buttons should snap into the cobalt steering wheel bezel. they are the same size and shape and the connectors are pinned the same. This way, I don't have to move my DIC buttons from my dash and reroute wires.

Looks Sweet! Are you going to paint match your steering wheel bezels with your dash trim? Your shift knob is pretty awesome too!
