Steering Wheel

Hi everyone my 2006 ss/sc steering wheel has seen better days. The cars current purpose is weekend driving/autocross. Given this id like to upgrade my steering wheel. Now I could go aftermarket but I have been exploring the option of swapping to a 3 spoke (vette/lnf) wheel.

However, I have been unsuccessful in my search of the forums to find someone who has successfully upgraded to a 3 spoke wheel and actually posted saying they did.

What I know so far:
1.) A vette or LNF 3 spoke wheel will fit on the 06 splines
2.) The radio controls may no longer work (I dont actually care about this)
3.) I will need a new steering wheel nut
4.) The clockspring is the same from 05-10

So if I get a vette steering wheel and an 07-10 airbag will they actually work? What are the problems I will run into? Has anyone successfully done this?

I was working on gathering info but then I found that I can just send a wheel in to have it customized but I haven't gone through with buying one yet and this is what I was trying to get but mine will still have cruise control because they will swap buttons over to new wheel

The only other thing I've seen people do was just sealing airbag cover to the vette one with these newer wheels comparing to 05-06 cobalt

Yes, this is easy for you though as you have an LNF that already has a 3 spoke wheel. My 06 SS/SC has the 4 spoke wheel. I just want to know whether or not the 07-10 airbag will work with my 06. That the airbag will actually function, I wont get any airbag lights, and the connectors are the same.

If not I may just go aftermarket
