Sti or Evo X?

I am looking to move from my cobalt to ether a 2013 Sti or Evo X. I want to see if anyone has had ether car and what are some issues you have seen. I really want a awd car for the winters in lovely PA.

sti's motors suck! and the evo is just a nasty mo fo with paddle shifters

I hear more horror storiers about the new STis vs the EVOx....the most i hear about those is that gas mileage are horrible

actually the GSR is the one with better modding potential. The tranny is much stronger than the MRs SST, and can be built to hold a lot more power. Plus if you blow that SST tranny, say goodbye to $10k.


Putting it in basic terms, the STI will be the better daily driver, but the Evo is faster.

cant be cheap when you wanna daily a racecar lol thats how i see it. if hes worried about reliablity just get a camery and stay grounded to the ground

I have been hearing this allot, Sti does not seem mod friendly plus I don't think I trust this "boxer" engine, allot of ppl having issues with main bearings going.

The only car I would buy that had paddles would be a Nissan GTR, and I don't think I will have one of those any time soon.

And how many Evo X MR drag cars are there? NONE. Because the SST transmission cannot hold power, it's too fragile. Also there are plenty of Evo drag cars running 9s and 8s. Seems pretty fast to me for a street car.

9's and 8's arent anything special in the drag wold lol and evox is a road course car, i was just saying fast drag cars arent manuals

Lmao. I dont know about you but at the drag strips i have been to 10's are rare and the minority let alone 9' and 8's. Regardless though how come a rally based car is competing with cars that are designed for straightline and doing it better? Hmmmmm.....
