Question Stock Appearance Differences

Ok...my wife thinks I'm nuts...I have a 2008 LT with the standard spoiler and no modifications. I've been noticing that some Cobalts with the same spoiler (the non-SS spoiler) appear to be a bit higher (6 to 10 inches) in the rear. It also seems that most of the ones that have a higher rear profile are older models (2005 or 2006 models) and these vehicles are not modified. I'm wondering if my eyes are playing tricks on me (as my wife believes) or if there was some change to the rear profile of the Coblat between 2005 and 2008. A stupid question to post I'm sure, but it has been driivng me nuts to determine one way or the other. Thanks!

Maybe I should clarify - I am noticing some Cobalts pre-2007 have a higher rear end profile (regardless of the spoiler) - meaning the height of the top of the trunk lid to the ground is higher by some 6 to 10 inches (just an estimate). I'm wondering if there is any truth to this or if it is just an optical illusion.

The coupe trunk and deck look much higher than the sedan, but it can't be more than 1inch. It is probably due to the huge differance in the slop and size of the rear window. Also the body panels have yet to change on the cobalt, so its not a model year thing either.

I don't know how you can describe it as 6", and I'm gona agree that your drunk...

Low rise on a coupe vs low rise on a sedan.....maybe the wife would believe that is 6"

Trunk on the coupe is a bit higher, low rise on the coupe is a bit higher.....maybe the op is comparing coupes and sedans? Still don't think it would be even 6" let alone 10"........
