I can't give you numbers, but I switched from a 2.2 exhaust to a 2.0S/C and laying the pipes side by side I saw a significant difference.

If I remember right 2.2 exhaust size is 1 3/4 (or so) and the SS/SC 2.0 is 2.25

Believe it or not the stock exhaust on an SS/SC is 2.5"
It's only 2.25" where it bends over the rear axle.

there's a lot of info regarding sizing on the 2.0 and 2.2, but does anyone know the pipe sizes fore the 2.4? the stock exhaust manifold outlet is 2.25 unless i'm mistaken. anyone have a bit more info?

The manifold of the 2.4 narrows down to less than 1 3/4" at its most restrictive part (by the o2 sensor) before expanding again to 2 1/4" as it connects to the downpipe.

The downpipe flange is 2.5" by the accordian flex section, but quickly narrows to 2" at the cat.

The resonator is 2" id through out it's length. From the resonator to the rear axle is 2.25". From there it narrows to 2" till it enters the muffler.

I just measured it, so I know these measurements are accurate.

hey guys, I just installed a ss exhaust on my 2.2 and everything fits perfectly except the ss downpipe doesn’t bolt up to the stock LT exhaust manifold, which really bummed me out but it’s way more open all around now, sounds perfect 👌
has anyone on here ever fabricated a new flange onto the stock manifold to line up with an ss downpipe?
