You could just take it off, It's only plastic, but lemme know cause if you can make that work then I can make the B&M fit on my 2.2

Honestly if you want a REAL short throw, I would go with the TWM shifter rather than take a chance on the SS/SC shifter. The SS/SC shifter is a little shorter than the stock 2.2/2.4 shifter, but the TWM is SIGNIFICANTLY shorter than both. Plus you'll know beyond the shadow of a doubt that it's going to fit with no modifications necessary.

Also, unless you're buying a brand spanking new shifter, be absolutely sure you get pictures and details on the condition of the stock SS/SC shifter. It is a BITCH to get off in our cars and I have yet to see someone get theirs off without causing damage to it.

As for just the basic fitment, I have no idea if it will fit or if it won't fit. I've never seen the shifter assembly in person for the 2.2/2.4. You're basically paying money for a crap shoot, it may work, it may not.

No, it's for 2.0 only. You can probably get it to fit with some modification, but IMO it's not worth it to buy something that you're going to have to cut and wrestle with to get it to fit.

Hey, I was just offering the suggestion. Get whatever you wanna get. If it were me, I'd pay the extra money and get what I knew was guaranteed to work, but that's just me. I don't buy stuff new knowing I'm going to have to modify it to fit myself.

With the way stock parts cost, you may be able to get the B&M or another brand cheaper. I could be wrong, but I've priced a lot of GM parts at my job. I'm talking if you get it new of course. You may be able to find one of those random warehouses on ebay that sells a ton of new parts dirt cheap.
