Crazy ass states with their inspections and temp tags and whatnot.
Hope it all works out.
Emperor, you've helped so many people. It sucks when bad things happen to good people. The good news is that maybe you'll replace your 'balt with one of the baddest 'balts of all time.
Hope it all works out.

and emp....If you would like a little bump for your trunk...Feel free to stop by TN and pick up these subs and box...I mean, it aint nothing special as if was a first for me but for you...You can have it. They are old but pack some punch... 2 1100 watt RMS AW1206Ts in the box.....Granted its a royal pain to fit in the car so if u want u can have it all or just the subs. They have been sitting in a room for years now

Had to meet up multiple times with the guy who I bought the car from because it's a NC car and they required notary bs on their titles. MI just doesn't GAF, just the tax money they get.

on your end, you would need to file a report of sale (name of the document may be different, and he would keep the plates on the vehicle, unless your state requries you return them with a vehicle sale) so that you are no longer under liability, and he would need to make sure that he's got it registered in his state once he makes it back. he would then get his new plates and either destroy, toss, or return the old plates.
Like i said, i'm based out of washington, but that is essentially how the process works if i understood your question right.

little different in CT.
He needs an OFFICIAL CT Bill of sale. This is the past few years. It used to be just a piece of paper saying I Harry Dick sell Patricia Rottenbox this car etc and it was legit. Now they want an official document found off the website filled out. No big deal. And since I have the title I will obviously fill the back of that out for him.
The plates have to be returned upon a sale otherwise I will continue to get taxed on them until I either A fill out lost or stolen plates form, or B return them to the DMV, or C buy a new vehicle and have them transferred. Which I will probably do C.

damn bro thanks but if its a pain to fit ill have to pass. I'm not totally sure what route we are going to take yet but i had possibly thought of passing thru nashville anyway to see and or crash with my cousin who lives there. Id feel sorta bad taking just the subs as im sure you could sell those without the box. i do really appreciate the offer though it means alot

yeah i understand trust me....I didnt put much in my 78 pickup but still spent almost $1000 on a small system. Its free because i dont want to use it. Just dont want to go crazy but its here if you choose. You can even have the box. All we have to do is remove the rear seat backs, put it at a weird angle, slide one side in then the other and boom its in. I just always scratch it up a bit when i do lol.
