Question Stone Chips

How does everyone deal with those (almost) unavoidable chips that mainly occur on the front skirt/bumper? I'm already dreading having to see them. I've never used car bras as they always ruin the look of your car.

My last car was a 2002 z24 (leased) and the front skirt had a fair amount of stone chips after 3 years. Even worse, GMAC charged me $300 at the end of the lease for what they called "excessive stone chips" and claimed they had to repaint the front of the car.

i think 3M makes a clear protective bra that will protect it from chips and stuff. can't even tell it's on. might look into that.

The 3M clear paint protector sheets only work on medium size to larger areas.

I looked into that plastic film, it actually looks like **** in person..(done by a professional) waste of money...you can clearly see the front of the car looks dull and different even if you're 10 feet away from it...it's even worse in bright sun light...(maybe some might not even care)

It looks like theres nothing you can really do for stone chips...for those of you that bought your cars, your probably better off saving the $300 for a good paint job on the skirt/bumber later on down the road..
