Storing for winter good idea?

Hey guys im new here. Just bought me a Yellow 5 speed Cobalt LS yesterday. 2 door Fully loaded. I love it. Im leasing the car so i get 20,000km a year. Being 19 and loving to drive this will be difficult for me however i do intend to buy the car out after the 4 years for 10g's. Now i still currently own my old car and im still insured on it under my parents. So do u guys think the Cobalt is a worthy car to store for the winter? Its got the stock rims so i'd save on buying winter rims and tires. But at the same time i'd still be paying for the car even tho im not driving it. What do u guys think.

Come on, it's a nice car but the Cobalt is still an econobox. We're not driving M3s or anything here!

Stop it with the winter talk. It's not even bloody summer yet.

But I do plan to buy it out and would like it to be in pretty good shape. Wouldnt this help? I do live in canada where the roads get pretty salty during the winter.

if ur 100% sure u will buy it out, undercoat it, and wash it once a week, thatll keep it fine

If you like the SS enough, go ahead and do what you want to preserve it.
Keep in mind that leasing a car you are going to buy and then paying for
a 2nd car to drive during the winter means you're spending a bunch of $$
on the Cobalt SS. You will -not- get a return on this investment, so it's all
hinged on how much you feel the car means to you. IMHO.

man if you have another car that is still in tact drive that beast in the winter. Especcially if you have a 2.0 s/c. My car is like hell to drive in the winter. But if you dont plan on buying it out after 2 years beat the Sh*t out of it.

Im gonna buy a beater here soon...to keep the miles off of my SS and in the winter I most likely will not be driving it....it'll be kept in the garage with a cover yea it is a Cobalt BUT im trying to keep it nice and since my car COULD be a collectors item someday (05' SS w/G85 Pkage)...LOL...

Back on subject if you think it is necessary then do it!
