ok yeah how do you make the cobalt whine.. is it the supercharger?

yes... it's the blower...

you have a base model with a wing... no whine for you.

 

he's right, every way to make the car scream louder has to do with the blower. Either through porting or an aftermarket cold air intake. Both ways are guaranteed to make her scream louder.

 

the whine comes from beating on the car for long periods of time and then getting out, the car bitches and whines becuase she wants more

Nuteral(sp?) drops are great for making the car whine. Its going to take a few tries before it works though.

In order to make your car whine, you would have to buy a supercharger. and a intake to make it really scream.

If you want the car to whine all you really need to do is go buy one of those turbine whistle thingys... tape it into the exhaust... same effect... a lot cheaper than a blower.

 

Rev it up to 6500RPM and dump clutch, that will make the transmission whine at least

But seriously. Trade in the base model for a SS/SC.

 

The VVT has a small whine to it in the upper RPMs, but nothing like the supercharger on the SS/SC.

My friend has an SS/NA and you don't hear any whine the upper RPM's. That doesn't sound normal at all.

Turbo's make a whistling spooling sound, superchargers whine. Just the nature of the beast. I'm sure there's some scientific reason dealing with physics and airflow that explains it. But a supercharger whines and if you want that.. get a supercharger.

 

by the time I hit 5k rpm the car is so loud I can't even hear anything over the exhaust... maybe it does scream and I don't even know

The first time I got on it after the intake was on, it scared the **** out of me. Sounded like a ******* turbine engine spooling up. It was love immediately.

 

yeah the intakes make a nice sound, not a whine, but a really nice sound

It is normal. It's not super loud or anything.....probably have to have the windows down to even hear it.
