I was opening my sunroof today and the stupidest thing happened. For one thing, when you push the button half way, the roof is supposed to "vent". Well, that didn't happen. So I pushed it all the way in and it opened, although the plastic border piece around the button fell off. Now the button is all loose and the plastic piece, although not broken, will not go back on and stay. Any one else have this issue?

I tried it a few hours later and the "venting" feature worked when I pushed it down halfway, but the plastice cover will not go back on. Planning on seeing the dealer, but I was wondering if anyone else had this happen. I am thinking the switch is bad AND I need a new plastic border/cover.

 

everyone has had this problem, sunroof switch was engineered by my 6 year old sister... blame it on her.
