Like the tittle says sunroof is leaking and I can’t find out why. Well a little back story was running down the interstate with a 350z. did a couple of pulls nothing more than a buck 30. Driver window is up sunroof closed and pass window down about an inch did a quick 3rd to 4th pull and while I was slowing down pow, sounds like a gun went off and I look back and the 350 is getting covered in what used to be my sunroof. Oh well at least I smoked a 350.

but I found a black streak on the spoiler that looks like it could have come from a peace of rubber

My guess would be a defective sun roof that GM should fix for free.

 

that would be awesome but i doubt it the car has 99k

 

maybe a rock or something hit it while you were driving. Since you were going at such a high rate of speed that could be why it just blew like that? IDK

 

yea something had to hit it but it just sucks a new one from the dealer is 250 and one from lkq is 125 and I don’t thank it to bad to just change the glass I believe its just the 4 allen screws and it should come ou if any body knows for sure let me know

i dropped the whole sunroof out to fix a rattle. it was 8 - 10MM nuts. drops right out. obv. you will have to drop the headliner first.

 

yea I was hopping not to have to drop the headliner

I got a sunroof glass in very good condition that is factory tinted and will let it go for a good price...
