Sunroof won't close

Sunroof won't close
Ok the right side of my sunroof wont close all the way. There is a little metal piece that fits in a groove on the sunroof. ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY DON'T ALIGN?! 
. Dealership of course wants me to bring it by there but its 80 dollars just for them to inspect it. I tried moving the metal piece or the groove bracket so it would line up but they seem like they wouldn't move. Anybody had this problem? How did you fix it? please help, I don't have money for this right now....I only work one day a week cause of my clinicals for school!
