tall people with cobalts
for those that don't know, including possible the op, on the left side of the seat there's a lever that raises and lowers the seat. so, if you're hitting your head, or it's tight, drop the seat down.
unbelievably, that probably just helped a lot of people. im shocked how many people have no clue that thing is there.
Hey guys,
I'm considering a Cobalt for a new car and I have been doing some research. So when I was at the Chevy dealer I sat in a sedan (what i want) and being 6'3 I had to have the seat well back so that I would comfortable and safe to drive. Now preferably all the way back was the best but when I went to look in the back there wasn't even enough room to put your feet down. I was kind of disappointed by that fact that my Cavalier has more legroom back there than the Cobalt. How are the rest of you tall people in your Cobalt?
I might even wait for the next generation cobalt.....

But when I go to the track I like to use a helmet (not required) I'm UNABLE to sit up straight with a helmet on!
Have to crouch down or tilt my head to the right (LESS than ideal posture for drag racing).
What the heck?!?
yeah with a helmet on I bunt the headliner a little.
but hey, they dont build cars expecting people to wear a helmet! hehe.
I can live with it.
oh btw good call mentioning the lower cushion up/down thing.
that really helps when your a bit taller.

interesting ya I did feel comfortable in the sedan. I do not want a coupe! But I'm just saying I want to make sure I can bring my friends on a drive and make sure they can at least sit down back there behind me.
I'm 6'2", and i sit up almost straight. I had a buddy that is 6'4" behind me, and he was doing alright, his legs were a little squished, but i mean really... it is a small car! (and the seat was almost all the way back.) I just lowered the seat down when i bought it, and i am fine.
I'm 6'4", 280lbs..and I have a sedan. I have no problems with people riding behind me, I just move my seat up a bit, and dont recline it as much. It also helps if the people are small..I havent had a tall person ride behind my seat yet.
6'1 and I'm very comfortable it in. I have the seat almost lowered all the way, but I don't have it all the way back. My head doesn't touch, and I have the seatback quite straight upward.
hehe j/k i knew what you meant.
