Test drove the Mazdaspeed 3
Well this weekend I was at a ringette tournament with my gf, anyways at the local mazda dealership had the speed 3. So I test drove the speed 6 and 3. Long story short, the speed 6 is not very impressive in my opinion. However all wheel drive would be nice.
The speed 3 however washt bad. If you look at road and track, they dyno'ed the car, and it showed HUGE power in the mid-range and it dying on the top. Well it's ALL true. The car HAULS ASS in the mid-range, but up top it really really sucks. Like when you go WOT, it really pulls hard, then its really dies off fast.
This car with a new cam would be sweet, but for the moment, its not that impressive. Someone should deff race them and see what happends!!

I test drove one when they just came out. I know a pretty cool car salesman and the local Mazda stealership that calls me when ever he gets anything excited in to test drive. I was pretty impressed with the power but I didnt think it was much if any faster than the 'Balt, and that was before Stg II. The power comes on much diferently than the Cobalts' does. The 'Speed 3 was squishy in the turns too, it needs a bigger sway bar stock. The interior, on the other hand was much nicer than my Cobalts'. Props to Mazda for a good car anyway.
On another note, on an earlier date I got the chance to drive a Speed 6 and was sorely dissapointed. I raced one recently, twice, w/ stage II and smoked it, bad!!! We did a 40mph roll, maybe if we went from a dig it would have been closer????

From a digg, the Speed6 prob would of taken you for a bit, but once you get traction, you would be all over that for sure!!
I like the fact the the MS3 GT is only 24700 puts 263 hp and 280 tq down and i really like how it looks throw a CF hood on it, intake, exhaust, FMIC, powder coat the wheels and its good to go. I'm thinking of snagging one.
Did u test drive one kyyankee?? I mean seriously, it really didnt impress me. Pull really hard, but only for like 2K RPM. Then it feels like an 2000 civic SIR. A little peppy, but not impressive. A SS/SC with S2 is deff superior IMO.
