Think this is safe???

Saw this in the newest crappy tire flyer.....looked promising...

http://www.filtromax.com/index2.php

Come to think of it.....I havent had to do an oil change yet (still under 5000Km) and havent looked at the oil filter.....will it fit even?

Id rather have my metal particles gathered at the bottom of my engine, like in my magnetic oil plug. That does not seem real safe to me.

It seems like a logical idea, I wonder if the magnet is even powerful enough to do anything though

I imagine it would have to be at least Neodymium N50 to do much of anything

interesting concept.
the science is definately sound, theres no reason it wouldnt work the way it describes.

id like to see something a little more mainstream for proof before id go for it personally....
but interesting find nonetheless.

edit: I see absolutely no reason why it wouldnt be "safe"

Its a great idea that won't work on our cars due to the stupid ass oil filter design GM made. All we could do is a magnetic drain plug that we can clean off at every change.
