Sup guys, new user and cobalt owner. I was interested in a short throw shifter and heard good things about these guys and they also throw in a knob which is solid. Anyone have one of these? Cheers!

I got a second hand TWM without reading reviews, installed it dialed it in and loved it!!

Then I read reviews and couldn't figure out the hate they got... yeah it took a while to get it aligned well but after that it was perfect

just make sure you get cable clamps

 

Ive had twm, hurst, and ottp. The ottp one is by far the best in my opinion. Shifts feel like butter. Plus it looks great and is a lot cheaper.

I recently went from a hurst to an ottp. I love my ottp. Got it on sale too so that was a plus.

 

I have the TWM for the F23 Cobalts and I love it compared to stock. I used to miss a gear every once in a while and haven't missed one since I installed it. I got mine with the solid stainless knob and it has great feel but it can get a bit hot in the summer.

 

cant say anything about the TWM. ive had hurst and have an OTTP, absolutely love the OTTP.

 

I have the same. Very high quality especially when paired with their cable clamps. Love the reverse lock out on reverse too.

Went from TWM to BPS, like BPS much more.
also cheaper.
Ottp doesn't​ have one for F23 transmission, so I couldn't go with them.

 

Do you want my hybrid knob from them?
I got it because I was burning my hand down here in South FL lol

 

What didn't you like about the TWM or why did yo think the BPS was better?

I have the OTTP and love it. I will point out that any metal knob can get hot if left in direct sun. Would hurt to tint the windows if you have to park somewhere without shade during the day.

Plus BPS actually builds race cars. They have a crazy fast Shelby. Holding 6 speed records.

 

Read your review and I wonder why it is your TWM wasn't smooth. Mine is smooth as butter or at least as smooth as stock.

 

You know what, I'm going to buy a bybird knob. Unsure why I've just chalked this up as something I should just deal with for all these years.

I got the one from TWM love it as I didn't get burnt lol, trying to get rid off now. Now have the BPS one, love it as it has numbers and letter.

 

Mine is from ottp, same thing mine has gears and everything on it

 

must be nice to get good stuff from Ottp... lol
