thinking bout an intake

hey guys i have a 06 cobalt ss/sc and i want to get an intake but i wanted to get it from gm. If i get one threw them will it make the sc sound louder as an after market one would?? or am i better off gettin an after market?? i dont want to void my warrenty

GM doesn't make a performance intake for the SS S/C.

The only way an aftermarket part can void your warranty is if GM can prove that it was the part specifically that caused the problem. I wouldn't worry about an intake.

^^ gm doesn't make one like stated. and you shouldn't have a warrenty issue. if you do, it takes 15 minutes to go back to stock air box.

i thought they said they did they said around $300 $400 mayb i misunderstood, but thanx guys.....nething u guys would suggest to make the sc sound louder??

They make one for the 2.2L and 2.4L, but not for the 2.0L.

You could just do the airbox mod, there is a how-to for that in the How To section, but it involves cutting up the airbox. I would just get an aftermarket intake. like D4u said, if you have to take it in for warranty, just takes 15 minutes to switch it out with the factory one.

airbox mod or injen... with the injen youll get more proformance.. but both will make the s/c scream!
