Those of you with CA H/E

I have a CA H/E available to me however it is only the H/E. How much of a problem would it be getting the hardware I need to install it. Like the L brackets, and hoses. Anyone with alot of H/E knowledge please help me. I want it done right with no problems.

Just go to the hardware store and outfit yourself with all those things. Shouldn't cost you much at all. You could even make the l brackets yourself. Just bend some metal. Drill some holes.

Ok, I did notice that the C/A H/E comes with some nice fittings that are alunm. and also comes with stainless lines. Would it be possible to buy those to fit the H/E?

Bump

Anyone have to do this before and know exactly what to get for hardware? Bump

there has to be some places around where you can pick up some aluminum sheeting, like home depot or lowes... and you might be able to find those lines at lowes, home depot, a hardware store or somewhere else

I don't know how similar it is to the cobra heat exchanger but I just installed that on mine. I went to Lowes and bought a 2"x3'x1/8" piece of aluminum and bent it just like blown 4-bangers how-to and used zipties to hold it. It worked fine. There just isn't much room in there at all but the CA h/e has the fittings on the same side so that will make it much easier. It didn't bleed like I wanted it to though. You might want to crack the stock h/e bleeder to get some air out then close it and just keep the pump on with a jumper and let it run and keep filling up the tank.

Very interesting. Thanks for comming through fellow PA member Maybe sometime we could meet once I get my exedy clutch/flywheel in and axles. Then I want to do dual pass and H/E. I just want to make sure I get the right length and size hoses for the project. I also Pmed Donna to see if they could just sell me the hardware and intructions. That would make it alot easier.
