tighten that gas cap....

.... or will find that it can cause your check engine light to come on. That is what I learned yesterday after checking my manual, because my light had come on. Turns out a loose gas cap, screws up the readings for your emission sensor. After I read this I thought interesting but not likely then I checked the cap and sure enough the cap was on but not as tight as it normally is.
So if your check engine liht come on it could be nothing more than making sure the guy filling the tank screwed the cap all the way on.

when the gas cap is loose a message displays "check gas cap" on the message center. Just like "ice possible" and "low traction" these are the messages i've gotten so far... Just waiting to see what else my car knows.

I never got that message and I looked but some times I think my trunk is made of glass because the information centre keeps calling it a jar

little off the topic but is there a trunk release inside the SS/SC? I can't find mine if there is and the book doesn't show one. The fact I have to use my key for this everytime gets annoying...
