Got mine done yesterday and I love the strip up there. It actually looks a little lower from the driver's seat than it does in this pic. And it looks wayyy better than in this pic too.

be fore warned..

I'm sure some states only allow tint on a front window to be a max certain hieght.. 3inches here in Alberta yes and no but just in case..

Definitely get it. I have 20% tint all around and in the strip on my windshield and I don't even need sunglasses. Just get it the same percentage as the rest.

The tint stuck to that part on mine, but didn't stick at the top on my back window. I cut it off though and it looks a lot better.

from what i have seen, a 4-5 inch strip at 5% is the most popular. i already have my windows tinted, but no sunbar, so i'm also gunna be doing this in a few weeks.

hey billig ss/sc, how big is ur sunbar? and how dark is that tint?

My strip is only 20% tint like the rest of the car. Had I thought about it, I would've gone darker, but I still like it. It's down to right below the mirror on the inside, so that's like what... 5 inches? It's exactly where I wanted it, I love it.

Those were the two choices I had too. Honestly of the two I'm happy I went with 20% because 5% would be horrible at night if you're somewhere you don't know. I would love it to be a little darker (maybe 15%), but it's okay I still love it.

To sum it up, you can get an external piece of vinyl put on, or they can tint the inside
check with our state law about how low the piece can be (2-6inches). I doubt you would get pulled over for it unless it was seriously low, though

just see if they have some excess from another job.. you might get it for free but it sure can't be much. Mine was free but I had mine only go down 3 inches and they didnt take off my rear view mirror so thats probably why..

my tint place charged me $20 for the strip and it came down like 4 or 5 inches but it was worth it

The tint is not supposed to go past the AS1 line on the windshield in missouri, but it is different for every state.
