Wow...I was going to have what I thought was simple Warranty work, but turned out to be quite odd, in my opinion. Well, as I had read several times in different threads, my boyfriend was having trouble with his 05 SS/SC with the exhaust making an obnoxious rattling noise. Turned out that the're replacing the muffler. I thought that while it was in the shop for that, I'd also tell them about the rattling in the speakers. I thought they'd just have to pop new ones in, but from what one of the techs at my work had explained to me, is that they need to actually pop off one of the roof panels that is vibrating, it's not the speakers. And in order to get to that roof panel, they need to remove the headliner and everything. Did anybody else have this problem, it just sounds so odd in my opinion. He also said that the sunroof scares him because it rattles and he thinks it off-track, and that could mean there's a couple parts that are cracked that need to be replaced. As odd as all of this sounds to me, it's all under warranty, so I'm just going to let them fix everything. It's being traded in, in a few months anyway when the boyfriend orders a new truck.
