So this past weekend I drove with a friend in my Cobalt from NJ to MI for the Woodward Dream Cruise. We also went to the Pure Michigan 400 on Sunday and then came back on Monday. On the way back I stopped by Lordstown. Unfortunately, as stated on a paper from 2002, they no longer let people in the plant for tours or anything but I did manage to grab a few pictures. The SS is a bit dirty after ~1200miles of driving, but still looks great in front of a camera.

nice. i have visited the plant once as well back in 2010. a cruze actually came out to see all of us parked in front of the "home of the cobalt" sign

 

Yeah, that would have been nice to get down there last summer... My friend drove by and grabbed pictures of it when they still have the Cobalt and G5 on the banner.

it is cool though how you have your car parked in front of the cruze sign, similar colors. like an old and new kinda deal. i would like to get there someday

You went to the plant tour too? That was a fun day. I rode with my friend in his black 08 LNF. Was the only wingless/shaved one there.

Wow, yeah, that would be awesome. I'd love to see more hi-res pictures. When was the tour? How'd you guys plan it? I went in the front doors and there's a paper on the desk dated 2002 stating no more tours and what-not.

Btw, if the pictures are big I have an anonymous FTP site you can toss them on I'd really appreciate it!
