I live in dutchess county Ny and would like to get rid of my victory red trunk and Low profile spoiler. I will even give a extra $75 along with trade. Preffer someone handy so we can do the swap asap. I just want the spoiler but i know its easier to do a trunk swap probably. But will also just do a wing swap

dude, just as an fyi, the ss/sc wing looks like complete ass on a 2.2 unless you have a body kit and a drop... if you don't have those 2, i suggest not getting one...

 

Look at my sig sport....I have a SS/SC rear bumper and rear lip with mesh grill side skirts on the way...

I added a body kit and have red on black SS interior.. but no Wing/spoiler.. my car looks clean,

 

Full trunk swap w/someone is better than wing removal...

remember to swap the lock cylinder too....

 

i did... and suggested a "body kit", not a rear bumper... what about side skirts, front bumper and lip? and if you don't get springs it looks really bad man... trust me... i saw one once, and ANYONE that can't tell that it's a base cobalt is an idiot... just make sure you do it right, not half assed...

Go to local chevy dealers...see if they are willing to swap the parts with one on the lot...if you are giving them a spoiler trunk...its an upgrade for them...they can mark up the vehicle they put it on. Do it in person, make sure your car is spotlessly clean and perfect when you show up.

Don't forget the lock cylinder....you got to switch that back...

 

I have an SS/SC wing and trucklid victory red.

It's got a dent in the trunklid, wing is fine.

 

ummmm.... i also have the 2.2 COUPE by the way... i wasn't ranting, just saying that if you're going to get the wing, you should get the rest of the kit and lower your car so it looks better... that's all... and what does antyhing have to do with you beating someone once a turbo come out?

 

dont listen to the haters! i had a base cobalt with a cobalt ss wing too. but why switch trunks too? arent they exactly the same? it was a direct swap with my base spoiler to ss wing.

i don't think this is the case, because anyone that beats a base cobalt and thinks it's the ss/sc is an idiot... even with a body kit, and spoiler, you can tell.... no supercharger whine, 4 lug wheels, there's plenty of ways to tell... anyone that knows what they're talking about would know the difference, and if they don't know the difference, who cares what they think...

you don't see a base neon and think it's an srt-4, even if it has the big wing...

you don't see a imprezza and think it's an sti...

Haha, my friend has a WRX and added the STI rear spoiler, and hood scoop. He has a lot of modifications, so it doesn't really matter that much. However we usually give him hell about his FAKE STI, and like to refer to his rear spoiler as an "optional bookshelf"

There is also a kid around here who has a victory red cobalt LS that added the SS/SC bumpers, and spoiler. He also lowered it, and put on aftermarket 18" wheels. He goes around thinking he is a bad ass and tries to race everyone and everything....
