Try drifting in a FWD 07 cobalt. I love my cobalt, but that GXP is sick. Check out this link to RK Sport to see the bada$$ ground effect kit you can get for the Soltice.

Actully the base on the solstice is less than $20,000. read this and if you like read the whole review at this link http://car-reviews.automobile.com/Po...p-preview/1626
"With a base price of $19,420, the regular Solstice is a terrific deal, but the GXP, on the other hand, looks to be the performance bargain of the century. While GM is tight-lipped on its pricing, the GXP package is expected to ring in at around $3,500 to $5,000 over the naturally aspirated variant, and will be available in dealerships across the nation starting fall, 2006. This means that going round corners in a drop top that is capable of besting most seriously expensive sports cars doesnt require a fat wallet, making the Solstice GXP something that performance enthusiasts everywhere can truly get excited about. It might be more expensive, who knows? It is still sick, it rus 20 psi of boast, thats insane for stock. Don't get me wrong I love my Cobalt, and would have both if I could. I test drove the solstice befor I bot my coabalt. The guy at the dealer mentioned the turbo model, but said he did not think they would build it. I bought the cobalt because I liked it better than the NA solstice. Also at the time there were only three sostice's in Vegas all automatics. Not a whole lot of choices if you know what I mean. If I get a big raise at work between now and next spring ( have to keep my car atleast a year, its in my contract I got the GM option discount) I will buy both, if not it's good by Cobalt.

Local news here (Youngstown OH), said today that GM Lordstown (cobalt/g5 plant) is gearing up for a third car, the Opel Astra. Im not sure if thats jus the chasis platform they will be using, or what. Thats all that was said.
Doesn't the astra use the 2.0 DI Turbo motor?
