Trading SS/SC in on 300C
The 300 Has Painted Mirrors
The 300C Has Chrome Mirrors
The SRT-8 Has Painted mirrors but Brembo Brakes (Huge)
The Cars are very easy to tell apart.
Also, If it has No HID (Projector Headlights) It's a Piece Of **** V6..

I'll check tomorrow afternoon.
Dont get a new one though (Sti), get a slightly used one.
I have never raced a 300c to be honest, and I understand they are fast. I am not stock tho. I love the Hemi. How can you not?
I didnt see Brians pic until I just logged in. I think if I had a 300c it would look like that.
With your automatic transmission (instant downshift!) and massive torque, I think you could do really well from any given speed.
If the weather wasn't so terrible, I would make some Gtech passes. I'm interested in what that little gizmo has to say about my 300. (considering it was only 7whp off of my real dyno run)
So get yourself to a track man, 'cause that's the ONLY way to really tell what your car will run!
Very good point as that is the exact scenario I am in now. A new 07 that I am getting a decent deal on. I am not a fan of the 08 body style either.

However I cant confirm this, but the magazines (ick, mag racing FTL) put the new STI and EVO into the 12's right out of the box.
Another option for you would be to consider a brand new EVO. I'm not an import fan at all but I think Mitsubishi really nailed the design. VERY aggressive IMHO. And the performance will be identical to the 08 STI as far as i know.
I don't know about that. The SS/SC has to be just at the right rpm, otherwise, the punch ain't there.

I was going to buy the Gtech, but I do not have any sparsely populated, long, FLAT stretches of road where I am. And if the road isn't EXACTLY FLAT, the Gtech will be in error.

That mod plus half decent gas and no traction control (torque management), should give me the edge i need to run down a stock ss/sc. I hope to confirm this soon.
But in regards to the Gtech, I vote you get one man. You don't have to do quarter mile passes, you can just do 0-60mph or 1/8th mile passes if you want.
Gtechs are awesome by themselves, but since you own a powerful FWD car that is notoriously difficult to launch, they are a must, even if you just use it to practice your launches.
I don't have any real tracks near me, so I use to just use it to practice my SS/SC launches. So if i ever do get to a track, I won't embarras myself the first couple of runs.
checked prices for ya, everything, jack, wrench, rim, bolt and nut that holds spare and tire is like 325
the guys in the parts dept said to check junkyards, you can get the wheel and tire for like 30 bucks, my service manager said it is state law in wi if you sell a car, it has to have the jack and tire, check the dealer, if they said it had one on the window sticker, you are intitled to it.

I think i still have the sticker, but i'm not going to raise too much cain, i got a crazy good deal on this car and the only thing wrong with it is a ding on the trunk and a missing spare/jack.
I'll definately check a junk yard, that is a really good suggestion. Thanks for the help!
