Trunk Issue

So I just bought my 06 cobalt ss/sc, and the trunk has no keyhole, it was replaced and filled..and the button by the steering wheel doesn't work. So I can't pop open my trunk, and my seats wont fold down because the latch is inside the trunk...I'm trying to get to my battery, but I have no idea how to even approach this situation.. anyone help me out?

the trunk button in the cubby pull out by your left knee?

if that fails you might have to unbolt your back seats

If the button won't work because the battery is completely dead you have a remote positive terminal under the hood on the drivers side by the fuse box. You can jump/power up the car from there. Just connect the neg cable to some bare metal.

Battery isn't dead, I just have a messed up button, and my keyhole was shaved off.&I have no remote.

So, i started yanking on the seat, got a big flat head screw driver down to the latch and pried it open. Success

Had my shoulder shoved into the back of the seat and was just barely able to push one of them with the tip of my fingers.

Why not get a new switch?

It's number 2 in the diagram....

Shorting the wires with a paperclip works just as well.
