Arrow Turbo 2.4 automatic fully installed! PICS...

Well took a trip out to my shop and the car is fully ready to be tuned this coming friday on the mustang dyno. Heres a breakdown on how the kit fit my auto 2.4 . Water lines were in the way and needed moved over. Downpipe was smaller than the corsa exhaust and needed a custom sleeve fitted. Throttle body charge pipe was 3 inches too long and needed trimmed. VERY tight fit of the turbo by the firewall. That aside. the kit looks great and unfortunaetly i was not able to make a ram air setup work so it is cold air but i still think the hood scoop will help underhood temps. Tranny cooler is mounted diretly behind grill, if you look behind the bowtie you can kinda see it, real nice location. enjoy the pics.

Very nice. I always wondered, is a turbo 2.2 or 2.4 a significant amount faster then a supercharged 2.0?

thanks guys and oh yeah by the way another snag was the maf sensor wires had to be extended to reach the right spot in the piping. as far as what time on friday i dont know for the tuning but as soon as i find out ill will update the thread in the pittsburgh section. now all i can look forward to is the whp numbers! and i hope im gonna be faster than a stock 2.0 but only time will tell. im hoping for 270whp but on a mustang dyno that might be asking alot. also just so you all know that is me and my daughter in the pic.

judging by the pontiac solstice there are some at 311 whp right now on stock internals

dont know the psi yet as its not tuned, guessing in the 8-10 area and the intake manifold should be able to hold about 14 psi is what my shop guy says.

I beg to differ on 270whp. You would be beating most S/C's if you had 270whp.

I want to see some numbers I was looking to turbo charge but i'm deciding to go procharged instead.. unless your number sway me ;-) you should be able to be putting down more then the SS/SC, SHOULD being the operative word there... i'm curious to how much power the stock internals can take. I'm nervous to push mine when i get my SC installed because of that reason and I know after a SC install i'll be tapped out for money lol...

Nice Job on the Turbo

the 2.4 is a more advanced motor, all new design around the block, stronger internals and designed for Turbocharging. Will be able to take 350WHP in the auto with only adding a trany cooler and engine mounts (maybe in the stage kits when they come out).

Where the 2.0 is just a 2.2 downgraded to be able to handle the blower, no real internal changes and anything over 250WHP the clutch does not hold up very well.

This guy is crazy and talking out of his ASS , doesnt know what he saying about the 2.0 "a downgrade of the 2.2 BS!!!!!!!
Internals are way better than the 2.2 by far

Sweet Install. Congrats. It looks super tight behind that engine. It must have been a fun install (sarcastic).

We can't wait to see the dyno sheet with afr!

Good luck with the tune.

EDIT: The Hahn kit with their 16g at 8-10psi is getting 235whp on the 2.4. FYI

just to verify, all the issues with kit fitment are due to the engine being closer to the firewall? including the downpipe issues, water line issues, and MAF sensor wire length issues?
