So first you were saying the gtr is better now you say you dont want one lol.

Also i dont think an lsj making mid 400s needs a rebuild every year lmao

just because it's a better car doesn't make me want one. I want a car that gives me the best driving experience. If I drove that balt like i do my stock LSJ, I guarantee you it wouldn't even last a month. You have to be careful with a car like that to make sure you don't blow it up. That means limiting your full throttle experiences almost exclusively to track time, and shifting extremely carefully. To each his own, but I like to push a car to it's full potential, and not worry about it blowing up when I do. That's why it's a much more enjoyable experience to drive a car that's designed to make 400hp stock.

Also, that cobalt is making well over 400 hp. For the same hp to weight ratio, a 2900lb cobalt would have to have 544 hp to have the same ratio as a 2009 zr-1 that has 638 hp and 3400lb curb weight.

The tiny S252et on a stock motor he's running will make nothing near 554hp. Hes probsbly hanging around the 430whp range. I have the same set up but with a ported head and cams. Needing to address boost drop issues but I made 406/340 with E45 on 27psi falling to 22 by 6800rpm on a mustang dyno. With my issues fixed this year I should be in the 460whp range.

Exactly. He isnt making a ton of power. Plus you can see the corvette start to reel him in at the end. I have a turbo stock motor base cobalt and beat the hell out of it, no problems at all eith the motor. Stock lsj can take 400+ for years

If you dropped 150lbs out of the stock curb weight of the cobalt, it would hang with the vette at 430whp. The balt on an empty gas tank and the vette on full could have made all the difference. Considering a 13% drivetrain loss, that gives the cobalt nearly 500hp. I'd say that's well above 400.

You must not know the definition of beating the hell out of it. You should go for a ride with me sometime. And dude you are 19 years old. You've hardly even been driving for a few years.

It didn't really hang with the vette though... He ripped it out of the hole probably due to running slicks then the vette was running up on him hard at the end.

Well like I said if he dropped 150lbs off the car, it makes the hp to weight ratios the same, but nobody wants to gut their car. Although the zr-1 does have a much flatter torque curve and has to shift through less gears. Too many variables at play though to use the ratio as the only argument, but it's certainly close, and im sure the slicks also had something to do with it.

hitting the rev limiter doesn't do anything. It's there to actually prevent things from breaking, and if you are hitting the limiter, you aren't driving the car correctly. I see you live in michigan, so seriously send me a pm if you are ever in metro detroit, and I'll show you how it's done. I thought I was hot **** when I was 19 too, but 10 years later, I realize that I knew nothing, and there is still plenty of room for improvement. You start to grow more humble and realize what your actual abilities are when you get older.
