Turbo It Or Not Turbo It?

heres some pics of this turbo my buddy got for me, yes i know the pics suck cuz its off my phone. all i know is that its a garrett turbo. not sure if its a t3 or not...i know ill need more mods to work it...intake manifold and etc.. but should i use it or no????

It's just dirty, clean it up and paint the mainfold with high temp paint. It will look bitchen then.

Err... I think that could serve best on a homemade jet engine It looks kinda trashy - probably needs to be rebuilt. Also, does it SAY Garret on the housing?

looks liek a turbo off the old lancers back in the 80''s, if so, its a te04 turbo.....

I think its one off a Eagle Tallon or something like that. I still think you should build a jet engine with it.

it would be cheaper to buy a premade kit and less trouble

It would be foolish to try and use that thing. First, complete kits with a brand new turbo will probably cost less then buying all the parts you need separately. That seems like reason enough for me. But if not, then trying to tune your fuel system to match that things output without any specifications is just silly. You will end up with a really screwed up fuel system and no working turbo.
