Turn signal not working

How can I fix my turn signal mechanism so that when I use them to make turns that it disengages when I come out of a turn? Like I can hear it click but it won't turn off.

It's the thing right next to your muffler bearing.

Well there goes that joke.
Today we received a muffler bearing from Nissan, NO KIDDING! - Hot Rod Forum : Hotrodders Bulletin Board

I had my stalk replaced under warranty, the reason that part breaks is because people are holding the stick in one direction when it's trying to cancel. It strips the gear bit that knocks the lever back.

Ya I would do that on accident occasionally with my last SS. The roads in Bellingham seemed to always require you to re-engage the turn signal during a turn because the way the road was set up so i'd just rest my finger there and hold it. Whenever I did it I would hear a really loud SNAP sound. Never stopped working on me though. I think I did it about 3 times in the 7 years I owned the car and then I finally learned to stop doing it. I have not done it on my current car.
