Turning 06 SC into LT?

Background: I have a loaded 06 LT coupe with salvage status. Have an opportunity to get a really nice 06 SS/SC with everything but engine & seats. My plan would be to install my L61 engine into the SS, utilize the SS transmission, and import the least amount of electrical components & wiring possible to be able to get the SS to think it is my old LT. I know i'd need to swap all the modules like the BCM, etc. Anything else I should be aware of that would make this prohibitively hard?

Well other than going from the F23 to a F35 is a down grade, since F23's a dime a dozen and the F35 are getting difficult to find. Also its def going to be cheaper to find a LSJ in running condition or just put a new built LSJ engine in the LSJ frame

Seems better to swap in another donor engine to the SS and have 2 complete cars.

thats not sound reasoning. the f35 is an expensive transmission to replace or have work done on. i would much rather them be a dime a dozen. and f23's hold up fine, especially if he is not planning on boosting it.

supporting my reasoning, if you're going to swap it, then it better be stronger or easier to work on. Sorry I didnt write a thesis about why the F23 is better than a F35, I stated a fact that the OP given his comment of swapping a 2.2 into a SS shell that had a LSJ engine I would assume total cost is important and good reasoning for the OP, maybe not you.

If the OP is going to keep it NA there is literally no reason to go through the trouble, not even gear ratio.

i didnt understand your post apparently. i thought you were saying that the f23 is a downgrade to the f35 even with the increased pricing of the f35. i actually agree with you.

i would much rather be able to bolt up a f23. im gonna have to fork over a stupid amount of money in the next couple of days for getting my f35 trans rebuilt. but just a few years ago, they were cheaper to just replace than get rebuilt. i love my cobalt, but it sucks when new motors and transmissions cost nearly as much as the value of the car
