Upgrade questions

So I was a little too eager and too impatient when I bought my 2007 Chevy Cobalt LS. I didn't wait to find one that had a sunroof, power locks, or power windows. So I ended up accepting delivery of the one I have now, which has none of those things. The only thing it has that I wanted on it, is that it's a Cobalt and it's Laser Blue Metallic.

1) How hard is it to "trade up" to the exact same make model color car just to get the features I want?

2) How long would I need to wait before they'll accept the same car I just bought as a trade in?

3) Do they have to pay off the first loan before they'll start the second one, or can they transfer the difference onto the loan I'm already paying?

Thanks guys, I'm getting kind of depressed that I don't have any power windows, locks, or a sunroof! I told myself I'd never buy a car without a sun/moonroof. But it's a Cobalt, and it's so beautiful and nice. I just want that little extra perks you know?

My dealer told me to wait a year to upgrade to a more expensive model, but what about upgrading to the exact same model?

Maybe I'll just go ask the dealer if none of you guys know,

Well if you bought it brand new once you drive it off the lot it dropes value atomatically so if you put more then your monthly payment every month for a year then your should be good if you plan on getting mods then i would wait until i got the model i wanted but he is some what right

I'd wait a few years and save up your money. Trading right back in isn't good. Maybe they'll do another 0% financing event this summer... you might be able to get a deal then.

I'm afraid your impulsiveness has cost you. You can trade the car anytime you want actually, but you will take a HUGE hit cost wise. At this point, you have already bought the car you have. You should have simply got the one you wanted. To do it now, you might as well just buy a completely second car.

i waited well over 6 months to get the car i wanted. and it was so worth it

just be patient and make sure you get what you really want when the time comes to trade it in or whatever you decide to do

Don't you have 30 days to return the car? I did, if I didn't like something, I could have returned it and got a diff one with extra options (for the difference in cost).

Even if I did have 30 days to return it, it's already been more than 30 days now. I got the car on March 7th.

Thanks for all your input guys, I think I'm boned until I can trade up. But at least I won't just be going up in features, I'll be going up in model too. SS or SS/SC.

I factory ordered mine too. I never set foot in the dealership until the day I took delivery and signed all the paerwork. I was deployed to Guam at the time I ordered. I didn't mind waiting for my car to get to the dealership since I was still waiting to get back to SD anyways. The car almost got there the same time I got back. It got there the weekend before I got home. The day I got back the dealership was already closed for the day, but I drove there in the middle of the night and went to the back of the lot where all the deliveries sat and just stared at my car for a while...lol

Was fun sending emails back and forth with the time difference and trying to get my deposit back to the dealership since I couldn't take $1000 out at the atm(300 dollar daily limit). Couldn't write a check at the BX(100 dollar a day limit) or at the post office or use my check card at the PO either. Ended up having to withdraw money from the atm for a few days and then take the cash to the post office for a money order.
