Used 09 ss t/c concern
Used 09 ss t/c concern
I was looking for another cobalt and came upon this t/c. Its an 09 but has 82k miles on it and the dealership wants 15k for it, is that a bit overpriced? Cause they were very stern that this price was accurate for a car. I'm still tripping at how a 09 has 82k miles on it.
maybe, 15k just seems a bit much overpriced and the car doesn't even look that great on the inside. It has a good amount of wear and tear, its not loaded so i'm trying to still see why they want 15k for it :/
It's the only t/c in memphis and I didnt want the s/c I saw cause it was from some fly by night dealer near my college. I might just try to find one on here or....buy a civic si...x.x;

I bought my '09 SS/TC with 60k miles on it for $15k otd. Why? Because I'm a moron.
At the time (Dec. 2010), it was literally the ONLY Cobalt SS Turbo available anywhere within 150 miles of my zip code. The only other one I found was a brand new 2010 for $25k, but that was out of my price range.
My '09 SS has 82k miles on it now because I drive it for work, which is a good 60-100 miles everyday, 5 days a week.
It's been pretty reliable, other than the fact that the stupid ass key got stuck in the stupid ass ignition, and when I went to the Chevy dealership to have it fixed, they wouldn't do it for free, even showing me that MY car wasn't included in the "recall." I went to another dealership and they said the same thing. I ended up paying somewhere around $339 to have the problem solved.
As of now, I don't regret buying my Cobalt SS, but I do know that if I had waited patiently, I could've found much better deals. I was about to buy a Honda Civic Si, even test drove a few before deciding to check out this SS/TC at the dealership, but the SS/TC test drive made me not want a Civic Si any more.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do, OP. Just know that you can find better deals if you look around, but chances are you'll have to drive (maybe even fly) out pretty far to get 'em.
BTW, if I were to go back to that day when I signed the papers and drove this Cobalt home, I wouldn't have bought it. It's an awesome car, but I KNOW I got screwed.

I agree with everyone 12 to 13 is all you should ever pay for that car.
Mint Kelly Blue Book is only 14k. Show them that and then start bargaining. Maybe they bought the car at too high of a price. Maybe paid 12 and are trying to get 20% out of it.

Yeah guys i went back up there and they were stern on that price, I told them about other cars and even carmax is cheaper than them and they didnt care so i'm moving on but.....i still have my eyes on this 06 s/c and I want it because my dream is to have the base coupe, s/c and a t/c its almost 11k but I really want to lowball it. and ask for around 5 or 6k, think thats too low?
