Wait for '10 or no...

I waited the initial whatever period to post here and get feedback on the Cobalt SS coupe, and lost the one I wanted to buy. That aside what would those looking to buy do? Deal with whats left of local inventory and settle, or order the '10 you wanted?

I have a '99 Exploder Sport as a DD, and a 92 Z28 L98 as a pleasure car (Hence the Z to SS name). Im looking to replace the Exploder. The SS I wanted was a silver (Switchblade), with ebony guts, LSD, LCD, and spare delete with the high rise wing. The dealer literally across the street from my house has the exact car I want sans the LCD.

I really dont want to settle for something I dont want given the prices these SS's are going for new. I am buying a house within the next month or so, so waiting is more realistic but I like what I like, and buy it.

Heres pics of my Z for no real reason.

Thats how they come (Cervini Fiberglass). The car needs a reshoot cause the good ol' GM primer sucked back then. My entire roof and a small part of the rear 1/4 needs to be reshot. It looks good from a distance but up close She has Her problems. In time, Ill drop the 5K on a fresh paint job. Im waiting for the L98 to kick the bucket so a stroker or LSX can be installed.

Keep the explorer for now, you gona have to move stuff when you get your house, and a cobalt can't move big stuff.

I disagree. With a little butter, a lot of will power, and some ingenuity, you can pack a hell of a lot into a Cobalt. My record so far includes an entire drum kit, an amp, two guitars, a desktop computer and monitor, a 28 inch TV and other random knick knacks in one trip.

I bought mine cause i was worried after all the restructuring that they might not produce anymore SS's . I wouldn't be surprised if they kill it off cause it on the chopping block for the end of the year anyways . Plus because of all the summer shutdowns at various plants (6-10 weeks) we might have seen the last of them. Or maybe i'm just paranoid hehe

But, you aint gona fit big furniture, chairs, sofa, bookshelf, computer desk, matress, etc. in a cobalt. Those are all typically things to move when getting a house. Most of that stuff would fit in an explorer with the seats removed.

Dude, its a 2 door sport. Im lucky if I fit my sub, and maybe a few boxes in the back. The Explorer is a daily driver, not a furniture mover. Im renting a UHAUL when I move. Just tossing up the idea of setlling for an '09 with not everything I want, or waiting and ordering a '10 just as I want. Or... Getting a SC and modding it (Though it will be my DD, the Z is for my speed needs).

What you do is start the haggling and take your time until you get the right deal. I had to travel to get the car I wanted at the price I wanted. There must be a bazillion dealers within your driving radius, and certainly someone has your car if you're willing to go 200 miles for it.

Unless ure heavily modded in that Z, an SS will blow its doors off. So for speed needs Id think the SS will be ure go to.
