Wait or Settle?

i got approved for any SS on the lot EXCEPT the used on i actually wanted.

Y? i dont know but the bank wont approve me for the same amount on a used vehicle as they would on a new one.

Any way , i want one in blue ( either blue) and they cant find any, but they have every other color. I already have a cobalt in black so i dont want that color again or its just gonna look like i put rims and kit on my car.

so should i wait for a blue or settle for another color?

to the bank, a used car won't last as long as a new one so they most likely won't be able to get you financed for the same term and rate.

color is up to you bro.
but if it was me id just get my second best color choice cuz it wouldnt bother me
When i bought mine i wanted silver but they didnt have any so i got black instead. in the end the choice to wait is up to you. and who knows how long you might be waiting to get a blue one it could be forever

You can no longer get Arrival Blue unless it's on a used one. Try searching GM's dealer locator to see if there's a Laser Blue in your area. You might be able to find one they can't or that they over looked.

If its the same price and has 8000 miles on there lies the problem. The car isnt worth as much as a new car.(which is what they are trying to sell it as). Remember. The bank is looking to make an investment here.

Anywho. Why settle on something as important as a car? Your going to drive it everyday for the next several years. Be sure to get what you want.

my thoughts exactly.

see they wanted to charge 18,800 for the blue one which si fine, but then my car has 6000 negative equity.
so im financing 24800+ 1000 for tax and title thats 25800, i got approved for 22900 for that car so im like 3000 short, i dont have 3000 to put down, only 1000. there in lies my problem. My car was only appraised at 9500. 05 Fully loaded LS with 30,000 miles.

sell your seats..... you can almost get another $1000 right there.... however, i would wait till a program comes out, as your payments will be more, or you will be paying for longer.... with intrest rates the way they are, i would not want to pay more in interest then i am actually paying for the car.....

I ran into the same problem when I got my car. Banks think of older cars (even if it's one lousy year) as less potential for getting their money back if they have to (god forbid) repossess it. A new car is simply a safer investment in their eyes.

It's nothing against you, buddy! It's stupid lender philosophies.

If you really want Blue hold out . Once the newness wears off , trust me , youll remember you really wanted Blue . See if your dealer will do a dealer trade with another dealer . The last new Trans Am I bought , they traded another dealer the Mystic Teal Trans Am they had for a Black one I wanted .

I have never really been very color concerned with my cars until recently, seems every car I want only black ones has the options I am after, I have been detailing for close to 20 years and I HATE owning a black car, no matter what you do in 3 hours it is dirty again, LOL! So lately I have been on a silver/blue/red kick, pretty much in that order. I like light colored cars, i never have the time or energy to spend an afternoon just polishing, plus going 5 months out of the year with no outside water source has a lot to do with it (frozen). Only way I would take a black car is like if it was like my SRT-4, dirt cheap, lol!!

Good luck getting just the one you want, I have been keeping an eye on the many car lots I pass everyday and I have not seen a single used Cobalt any where, and even the GM dealer which does hardly any business only has like 3 regular ones.......
