i thought that the sounds from the rear of the car was the evap system or something? your talking about when it sounds like someones knocking on the trunk right?
as for that marble dropping sound, my car does it when i turn it off accompanied by a high pitch electronic whine, then the "marble" drops twice :P

i wait about a min or 2 to let my car idle down from 1400RPM's to about 1000RPM's. the drive slow,3K shifts and no boost.
ive herd on the SS/TC's you can pop map or maf sensors if you go into boost before its at operating temp. not sure if its true or not though

That's cool... there are some good laughs in there!
My car is ornery and won't go into drive until a good song is playing and warmin' the speakers. She don't care about no engine temps.
