We have a Winner!

I currently Have a 97 Jetta, Turbo Diesel, and well, the car is dieing, so i am on a frantic search for a new car. And well, I think my search ended today! I sat in a 06 Chevrolet Cobalt and I loved it! My biggest issue is leg room, where i am a big guy. I am 6'7 and 382lbs! i felt very confrontable in it! So... the Cobalt just has rocketed to #1 on my list! I didn't think i was going to find another car that i can fit into so perfectly!

Welcome and GM knew you would want this car, thats why the door opens as far as it does. I am glad you were able to fit. Now my guess is that your friends call you "Tiny"

I know how you feel. I'm 5'-11" 250lbs and there's plenty of room to spare...unlike the other cars I tested before buying my Cobalt.

WOW, Dude, you are one big mother ******, haha. I havea friend that drives an SRT-4 that I would guess is close on your size and he just doesn't fit in there very well.

I would be buying a truck if i were you. I don't think I would be comfortable in a car if I was your size!!

I'm just looking at the base model LS I believe it is. I do not need anything fancy, although the options are nice. is there something about these models i should know about?

No no no , get the SS\SC. With a man your size you want all the power you can get.

Either get the 2.4 ss or the 2.0 ss/sc. Don't get me wrong, someone has ran a 15.6 with their base stock which is pretty quick for 145hp but the other models just look better. Trust me, if you don't get the ss or ss/sc, you will be regretting it later on. Or if you buy an ion, get the ion redline.

Brother, i have watched these cars [SS/SC's] decimate Mustangs on a dragstrip... and it's sweet, oh so sweet to watch.
sweet revenge with 4 cylinders is a fine dish on a Saturday afternoon.

Scott- happy base coupe owner since 06/27/05

Dude, just go with like a LT (which is one step down from the SS, and not the base model) with the Sport package and you'll be all set. The car is sporty enough, and your not totally emptying out your pockets. Stay away from the base model if you can, because for just a little bit more you could get the LT with the sport package. I must say though, I'm in love with the SS.

I have a LT Sport package couple, and its pretty quick with 145hp, and it's very nice to look at.

If you want a sedan, go for a 2.4l SS, they are a little more peppier than a 2.2l.

He already said he doesn't want the SS. Now help him out with the non-SS models cause thats what hes looking to buy.
