i had a really bad smell like that and when i looked into my trunk there was over an inch of water in there and everything was soaked . The root of the problem ended up being that my water drains from my sunroof were clogged at the bottom and when it rained or i washed my car the water wouldn't drain properly and get backed up then run under my backseat and into the bottom of my trunk. The mildew ended up being what the smell was pretty frustrating but an easy fix.
All i had to do is take the air hose to the bottom of the sunroof draintubes in my trunk.

The rotten eggs you describe makes me think you may be burning a bit of coolant, but if it only does it when the car is off, that's strange. I get that smell from my car, but it's when I'm driving exceptionally hard. GM cars also have a tendency to burn coolant. It's worth looking into water leaks into the interior, especially since you said it's been raining and GM weather stripping doesn't always do very well versus mother nature.

i was really worried i was burning coolant or something in that neighborhood. the smell suddenly stopped smelling. idk friggin weird as **** if u ask me. i looked in my trunk n such. no water anywhere, not even damp spots... on the good side i changed my plugs n air box mod filter. and my coolant temp never see's 200. during cruise im at 178-183. at a red light or in bumper to bumper traffic ill be all over from 183-199. that being said i have 75k with stock coolant. but i was always told if its not broken dont fix it. so when my cruising temps become 188 and up i will check the coolant and replace it. when lisa cools down tho i will check the smell of the coolant def.

I've smelled this smell in my car before too and didn't know what it was until I saw that the hooker in my passenger seat's legs were open.
